To our knowledge, the first free music app store built by and for the veteran community: a full shelf of human-played instruments, with every sound synthesized live in your browser.

The advocacyFrom #NoAIMusic to #NoSIMusic℠

#NoAIMusic began as Jeff Shuford's stand for music made by people. It has evolved into #NoSIMusic℠, the standard behind every app on this shelf: the player is the musician. Your hands on a pad, a key or a touchpad make the performance.

These apps don't play back recordings. They build every tone live in your browser, and nothing you play is uploaded.

#NoSIMusic℠ is a service mark of its owner.

The legacyFrom The Five Satins to the frontline

Jeff's grandfather, Jim Freeman, sang with The Five Satins, the New Haven, Connecticut vocal group behind the 1956 classic “In the Still of the Night.” After lead singer Fred Parris left for military service, Freeman took the lead of the group and brought in tenor Bill Baker. The group went on to tour widely, including the Apollo Theater®.

“In the Still of the Night” was named one of the RIAA® and NEA Songs of the Century in 2001. The Five Satins entered the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2003. Freeman is recognized as a GRAMMY® Hall of Fame recording artist, and the Iowa Legislature honored him in 2001 as a pioneer of rock and roll. That family line of harmony and service runs through every Shuford instrument.
