Iraq War Veteran and nationally syndicated columnist Jeff Shuford is a TEDx speaker and a thought leader specializing in innovative digital marketing. Shuford became a nationally syndicated columnist at age 30, making him one of the youngest nationally syndicated columnists in the country and one of the youngest African-American nationally syndicated columnists of all time. In his previous role with the American City Business Journals, Shuford's monthly column appeared in more than 43 regional business newspapers. In his position with GateHouse Media, Shuford's weekly column appears in 144 daily newspapers, 684 community publications, and over 569 local-market websites in 38 states, making him one of the country's most syndicated black columnists of all time.

Jeff Shuford’s dedication to service and community leadership is deeply rooted in his family’s legacy of excellence and cultural influence. His grandfather, Jim Freeman, was a founding member of The Five Satins, a group whose contributions to the doo-wop era helped define a generation of American music. Their iconic song “In the Still of the Night,” penned by lead singer Fred Parris, remains one of the most beloved classics of the genre, frequently appearing on "Top 40" oldies playlists and ranked among Rolling Stone magazine’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.” Freeman’s role in the group and their musical achievements were immortalized in the U.S. Congressional Record by Rep. Rosa DeLauro, alongside honors recognizing the cultural importance of The Five Satins to the city of New Haven and the nation.

His efforts in advocating for veteran entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and community empowerment reflect a family tradition of meaningful impact. Shuford’s commitment to public service mirrors his grandfather’s contributions to American culture, ensuring that the values of leadership and influence continue across generations.

Moreover, Jeff Shuford holds the distinction of being the largest controller of veteran-focused domain assets, both nationally and internationally. His extensive portfolio encompasses a wide range of strategic digital territories that are crucial for veteran support and engagement.
