During his 28-year career in the U.S. Army, LTC Rickey L. Pope held several important and high-level leadership positions that distinguished him as an exceptional leader. He served as Commander of the 76th Terminal Supervision Team, Vessel Section OIC, Vessel Team Chief, and SCDC Battle Captain. Pope played a vital role in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom as the Brigade Vessel OIC and Equal Opportunity Advisor, earning him recognition for his meticulous work with 100% accuracy. He has worked at the ports of Antwerp, Belgium, Rotterdam, Netherlands, Shuaiba, and Kuwait.

In addition to his military service, Pope served as a firefighter for 25 years in Jacksonville, Florida. He is also the Director of Military Partnerships at Tech From Vets, where he leads the veteran-owned company's initiatives to partner with other veteran-focused organizations to raise awareness about veteran suicide through the award-winning Vets 22 mobile application. As a Co-founder of National Invest In Veterans Week, Pope uses his decades of experience as a senior leader in the U.S. Army to expand the brand nationally and champion veteran-focused causes.
